April fools day

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Well, here it is, April Fools Day.  I don’t have a single April Fools Day joke to play on anyone!  I wonder if anyone will be trying to play any jokes on me today!  I hope they are all harmless ones!  Some can be quite embarrasing sometimes!  Or cause a major inconvenience.  Well, be that as it may, I can’t just hide in the house all day long.  Or can I?  Maybe I should!

Funny song – The Mom Song!

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

A good friend sent me the link to this video/song. It took me a while to figure out how to put it into a post to share it with you, but I really laughed so hard when I saw/heard it that I just HAD to do it! I hope you get a really good laugh out of it too!

Wedding vow renewals

Friday, February 20th, 2009

My sister called me this morning and told me that she and her hubby have decided that they want to renew their wedding vows.  They’ve been married for 20 years, and their first wedding was a secret elopement held across the country and no one in the family was informed about it until after the fact.  Now they want to renew their vows in a ceremony that resembles a “real wedding” and have all of their friends and family attend.

Valentine’s Day

Saturday, February 14th, 2009

Well, today is Valentine’s Day, and I hope everyone has a good one.  I bought little boxes of chocolates and Valentine’s day cards for my kids and my hubby and put them by their breakfast bowls for them to see when they came to the kitchen to eat.  I hope to eat dinner out tonight!  We’ll have to leave early to beat the dinner rush because it’s a Saturday!

Country girl at heart

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

I can remember reading a book as a young girl titled something like City mouse and country mouse.  Or maybe it was the other way around.  The gist of it was that a mouse used to the country went to visit a mouse that lived in the city and was overwhelmed by the experience and glad to get home again.  Well, I can empathise with the country mouse.  I am NOT a city girl!  I get anxiety attacks when I am in a crowd!  And cities are crowded!  I like the country!  Yup, I’m a country girl!  I have friends that live in cities, and they invite me to come visit them.  I DO go visit them and I have a good time, but I’m always glad to come home again!
