Stupid action figures of political figures

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Why on earth would any company want to make the political figures (Barack Obama, John McCain, Sarah Palin) look like sex objects?  I was reading that a company is selling action figures of Sarah Palin dressed like a sexy schoolgirl.  I saw a photo of the action figure, and I have to agree it makes her look like a slut.  Shame on them for making that “action figure!”  That’s just plain and simple wrong.

Internet still in its infancy

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

In the grand scheme of life, the Internet is a new invention, and the entire world is still trying to figure out exactly how to best utilize the Internet to enrich their lives and advance their businesses.  I find it interesting, and hard to believe that there are still a lot of people (even nearby where I live) that have never even used a computer, let alone use the Internet!

Internet marketing has evolved at an incredible rate; it started out originally as simply different companies posting websites of information about their companies, and then they would try to let the public know that the website existing by printing that out on paper publicity notices of some kind.  Now Internet marketing has evolved to many different types and levels, including advertising through blogs.  Blogs are a relatively new addition to the Internet world, and they are a great resource for merchants to utilize when seeking more Internet publicity for their products and services.  Companies themselves create blogs to discuss their products, and companies often make arrangements for private bloggers to reference their company in their personal blogs.
